Al-QALAM: Islamic Law Journal (AL-QALAM) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Centre for Islamic Law Studies, Faculty of Law, Mulawarman University. The journal is published twice a year in May and November.
The journal focuses on Islamic law studies and aims to provide an academic platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to publish their latest research findings, both conceptual-doctrinal and empirical, in the field of Islamic law. By providing free access to research, AL-QALAM supports the wider dissemination of knowledge and contributes to the global debate on Islamic law studies.
The scope of the journal covers various issues in Islamic law, including but not limited to: Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), Islamic legal thought, Islamic economic law, family law, constitutional perspectives in Islam, Islamic criminal law, and contemporary challenges in the application and development of Islamic law.
All manuscripts submitted to AL-QALAM undergo a rigorous peer-review process. The acceptance or rejection of manuscripts is entirely at the discretion of the Editorial Board based on the recommendations of the reviewers.
AL-QALAM serves as a reliable reference source for academics and practitioners involved in the study and development of Islamic law. This journal is indexed in Google Scholar.
